Welcome to “Church Words”, understanding God, through definition.
What does it mean to be redeemed? According to Merriam Webster it means to “buy back” or to “to release from blame or debt”, actually Merriam Webster has many more definitions, and while they all have some relevance to this subject these two seems to be fit best.
We can take comfort that we have been “redeemed”, released from blame because of our faith in Christ Jesus.
Remember, this word has no relevance if you do not know Christ. I encourage you to do so by listening to episode 1 of this podcast series and then consult with your local Bible-believing church.
