Jevon M Johnson is a stand-up comedian, writer and actor from Brooklyn, NY. Jevon started
doing stand-up after having a conversation with his daughter about going after whatever she
wanted in life. It was at that moment, that he was being a hypocrite, because he was not
pursuing his own dreams. Jevon has always been inspired by the comedy legend, Martin
Lawrence. Much like Lawrence, his style of comedy is very witty, edgy and electric. It is so
energetic, that he coined it “High Voltage” Comedy.
Throughout his career he has opened up for Tommy Davidson, Donnell Rollins, Bill Bellamy and
Michael Blackson, to name a few. One of Jevon’s biggest opportunities came in 2021 when he
was selected to host a comedy show in London for the Miami Dolphins, to entertain players and
staff while they were in the UK for their game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Jevon is an
actor as well. He has appeared on television shows on Starz, Apple TV and Amazon Prime.
He has also appeared in a number of Independent Films and has written on multiple Indie
projects.
In a landscape where a lot of comics lack fresh ideas, creativity and a relatable point of view,
Jevon prides himself in bringing funny to the stage that is always relevant and engaging.
Growing up in a tough neighborhood in Brooklyn in the 90’s and now being a husband and
father in his forties, he feels he is the comedic voice for cool, black Dads everywhere.
