We’re in week 4 of the Uplifting Identity series! Excited to introduce you to this week’s special guest, Cierra Cotton! We talked about our identity in Christ as redeemed.
Cierra Rebekah Cotton is a native of Baltimore, MD, is an author, blogger, speaker, dancer, and mentor. In 2011, she graduated from the Alvin Ailey/Fordham University BFA program in NYC with a degree in dance. It was there that she discovered a love for working with youth. Since then, Cierra has worked as a dance educator for over fifteen different schools & organizations across five states. She also spent time in Atlanta, GA, where she served as an administrator and founded both a women’s and dance ministry for a newly planted church.
Cierra's faith journey led her to move to Dallas in 2016, and she is excited to be a part of what God is doing in this city! For 5 years, she worked with inner-city students through a faith-based non-profit organization as the Director of Student Life. Currently Cierra is the Lead College Advisor at a local comprehensive high school in Dallas. In January of 2020, Cierra released her first book “Faithfully His,” to encourage people to trust God and rest in His faithfulness, no matter what season of life they are in. She has a passion for young people and women to know their value and identity in Christ, become who God has destined them to be, and rise up to be leaders in their community. In her spare time Cierra loves to travel, go thrifting, and take long walks.
