On today’s episode, I brought on another one of my mentors, Leonard Paulk (Scooter). Talk about wisdom. God has imparted a ton in him! However, it is not by happenstance because Scooter is not just a fan of Jesus, he is a true disciple of Jesus. He is always in the Word, being led by the Holy Spirit which is evident in the way he interacts with you.
My roommate Chuck and I would always laugh at Bible study when he would speak because it was not often that he did, but you knew that as soon as he did you better have a pen and paper ready.
We discussed how much time represents in his life, what it means to him to be a father, being obedient to the Lord, and so much more! It is admirable hearing his story about his upbringing to where he is now. Seeing the maturation process from when he heard the Lord’s voice but leaned on his own understanding to where he is now… fully committed and obedient to what the Lord has in store for him!
His verse of the week was 2 Peter 3:8-9 “But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.”
Interesting perspective for us to think of when it feels like things are taking a “long” time for us!
