Children at an English primary school have been forced to eat mashed potato with their hands after their forks and knives were banned because of the pandemic. To stop students at Edgar Stammers Primary Academy in Walsall from mixing hot and cold lunches are dropped off to each class in “grab bags”. Parents were unhappy to discover youngsters were expected to eat a small amount of mash served in a Yorkshire pudding without cutlery. Principal Darren Mann said some of the feedback he’d received was not positive”.
