Sometimes a relationship is simply not wanting to happen anymore — it wants to die or maybe already died a while ago and wants to be put to rest as opposed to rotting in the living room.
Instead of allowing this to be true, we can get caught up in the fixing paradigm. We spend so much energy trying to figure it out, attempting to tackle our confusion and angst, and justifying why we’re still holding on.
If you find yourself saying, “Well, relationships are just hard,” get skeptical. When a relationship is alive, it’s easeful, it feels like home, and it has you saying, “Oh my god, I didn’t know it could be this good.”
