Today's solo is inspired by a question that recently came into my Q&A box. This definitely is not the first time someone has asked me for my thoughts on this topic, but the way this listener asked the question totally inspired this episode. 
 
“Can you talk more about the differences between having a wellness mindset and a diet-punishment mindset?” What a fantastic question, and I know for many of you, this is something you’ve dealt with, and I know I have dealt with it on many occasions as well. 
 
I talk about how healing sometimes means taking steps back to unlearn and unpack fatphobic norms, the roots of diet culture, the way fatphobia shows up in medical and health fields, what is wellness, and the difference between habits and emotions.
