Ivan Munguia, future Executive Director of Living Waters Bible Camp, hones in on what we can learn from the prophecy of Emmanuel. Munguia starts off in the book of Isaiah (ch 7 & 8) pointing out how God told King Ahaz to ask a sign of the Lord, but Ahaz doesn't trust God and wants to do things his own way. So how are we like King Ahaz and what does it have to do with Jesus' birth? Munguia reminds that Emmanuel means "God with us" and that He came to pay for our sins. How are you going to respond to the sign that God has given us? Try to do everything on your own power or allow God to help?
