Ep. #013 - Eben Pieterse. Eben is from South Africa and hands down one of the most outgoing and interesting people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting in my entire life. I think I can safely say that. Eben talks about his childhood living as a farmer or “Boer” and the various struggles that came with it, including, but not limited to, not having electricity until he was 14 years old. Like, can you even imagine? We also touch on topics such as the ethics and effectiveness of corporal punishment, the racism and discrimination he’s faced as a white African, and how we both agree that comfort is the killer of progress. This is an episode you definitely don’t want to miss.
