Ever feel like life throws you into a battlefield you didn’t sign up for? School stress, drama with friends, pressure to fit in—it can feel like you’re constantly preparing for a fight. You plan, you worry, and you try to take control. But Proverbs 21:30–31 reminds us that even our best plans can’t override what God is doing. It’s not about being the strongest or the smartest—it’s about trusting the One who holds the victory.
And when things get tough, like James 1 says, God isn’t absent. He’s using the hard stuff to make us stronger, more faithful, and more like Him. But we also have a part to play—we can’t just hear God's Word and forget it. We’re called to live it.

THINK ABOUT IT
1. Whose strength are you trusting? Are you relying on your own abilities, or are you bringing your plans and struggles to God?
2. Trials are training: What challenges are you facing right now, and how might God be using them to grow your faith and character?
3. Live it out: Are there areas in your life where you know what God says but haven’t put it into action yet?

BOTTOM LINE
You can prepare all you want, but real victory comes from trusting and obeying God—especially when life gets tough.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, thank You that no plan can succeed against You. Help me to trust You more than I trust myself. When things get hard, remind me that You are using every trial to grow my faith. Give me the courage not just to hear Your Word, but to live it every day. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
