Ever feel like life’s just one big popularity contest? Whether it’s likes on your latest post, who you sit with at lunch, or the brand of shoes you're wearing—so much can seem to revolve around status. But God flips all of that on its head. In Proverbs 22, we’re reminded that who you are—your character and reputation—matters way more than how much money you have or how many people know your name. In Psalm 96, we’re called to give God the glory, not chase our own.
And in James 2, God challenges us to treat everyone with the same love and respect, no matter their status or background. These passages together are a wake-up call: you are valuable not because of what you own or how popular you are, but because of who God is and who you are in Him.

THINK ABOUT IT
1. What Are You Known For? If people had to describe you in one word, what would they say? Is your reputation something that reflects Christ? A good name—built on kindness, honesty, and love—is worth more than any material thing.
2. Everyone’s Equal at the Cross: Proverbs reminds us that God made both the rich and the poor. That means no one is more valuable than someone else. Are you showing that same kind of equality and respect in how you treat others?
3. Worship with Your Life: Psalm 96 isn’t just about singing songs—it’s about giving God the honor He deserves with your whole life. Are you living in a way that shows your life is more about Him than yourself?

BOTTOM LINE
God cares more about your heart than your status. Live with integrity, worship Him with your life, and treat others with the same love He shows you.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me not because of what I have, but because of who I am in You. Help me to value character over popularity, to treat everyone with love, and to live in a way that gives You glory. Help me build a good name—not for myself, but to honor You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
