“The blessing of the Lord makes rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.” — Proverbs 10:22 (ESV)

“The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.” — Psalm 19:7 (ESV)

“When they had preached the gospel to that city and had made many disciples, they returned to Lystra and to Iconium and to Antioch, strengthening the souls of the disciples, encouraging them to continue in the faith.” — Acts 14:21–22 (ESV)

Have you ever gotten something you thought would make you happy—a new phone, more likes on a post, or approval from a certain group—only to realize the “hype” didn’t last? That’s because real blessing doesn’t come with emptiness or regret. Proverbs 10:22 reminds us that God’s blessings bring joy, not sorrow. Psalm 19 shows us that His Word revives us when we feel drained and gives wisdom when we feel lost. And in Acts 14, we see the disciples encouraged to keep the faith even when things got tough. God’s blessings aren’t just about stuff—they’re about strength, wisdom, and His presence that lasts.

THINK ABOUT IT

1. Blessings Without Regret: What are some “blessings” the world promises that actually leave people empty? How is God’s blessing different?

2. Revived by the Word: Psalm 19 says God’s Word revives the soul. How could you let Scripture refresh you when you’re stressed, tired, or discouraged?

3. Strength to Continue: The disciples in Acts 14 were encouraged to keep going even in difficulty. What helps you keep your faith strong when life feels challenging?

BOTTOM LINE

God’s blessings bring lasting joy, wisdom, and strength—without the burden of regret.

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, thank You that Your blessings are pure and filled with joy. Help me not to chase after things that leave me empty, but to find life, strength, and wisdom in You and Your Word. Encourage me to keep the faith, even when it’s tough, knowing that You are always with me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
