“When the wicked dies, his hope will perish, and the expectation of wealth perishes too. The righteous is delivered from trouble, and the wicked walks into it instead.” — Proverbs 11:7–8 (ESV)
“The following night the Lord stood by him and said, ‘Take courage, for as you have testified to the facts about me in Jerusalem, so you must testify also in Rome.’” — Acts 23:11 (ESV)

Have you ever felt like everything was falling apart—like rumors, drama, or struggles kept piling on, and you weren’t sure how you’d make it through? That’s exactly where Paul found himself in Acts 23. He was facing threats, false accusations, and people plotting against his life. Yet, right in the middle of all that chaos, Jesus showed up and said, “Take courage.” That’s huge. It’s like Jesus was saying, “I see the storm you’re in, but this isn’t the end of your story.” Just like Proverbs 11:8 reminds us, God knows how to deliver the righteous from trouble while letting evil plans crumble.

THINK ABOUT IT
1. God Sees You: When life feels overwhelming, remember that God sees the whole picture. Paul couldn’t see the future in Acts 23, but Jesus already knew Paul would make it to Rome. How can trusting God’s bigger plan help you face fear or uncertainty?
2. Take Courage in Chaos: Jesus didn’t remove Paul’s problems instantly, but He gave Paul courage to keep going. What’s one area in your life where you need Jesus to speak courage into you today?
3. Choose the Right Path: Proverbs 11:7–8 shows a clear difference between the fate of the wicked and the righteous. How can you choose daily to walk in a way that honors God—even when life feels unfair or confusing?

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, thank You for seeing me in the middle of my challenges. When life feels messy or out of control, help me remember that You have a bigger plan and that You are always with me. Give me courage to keep trusting You, even when I can’t see the way forward. Help me walk in Your ways and stay faithful no matter what comes my way. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
