“With his mouth the godless man would destroy his neighbor, but by knowledge the righteous are delivered.” — Proverbs 11:9 (ESV)
“But this I confess to you, that according to the Way, which they call a sect, I worship the God of our fathers, believing everything laid down by the Law and written in the Prophets.” — Acts 24:14 (ESV)
“But Paul said, ‘I am standing before Caesar's tribunal, where I ought to be tried. To the Jews I have done no wrong, as you yourself know very well.’” — Acts 24:10 (ESV)

Ever felt like someone misunderstood you—or even lied about you? Maybe it was at school, in a group chat, or even among friends. Words can tear down fast, like Proverbs 11:9 says, but God shows us that the truth always stands taller than gossip, rumors, or hate. In Acts 24, Paul faced false accusations before powerful leaders. People tried to twist his words and paint him as a troublemaker. But Paul stood firm, confident in what he believed and Who he believed in. That’s not easy to do, especially when pressure mounts. Yet Paul reminds us: when you live in God’s truth, you don’t have to fear lies or accusations because the truth ultimately sets you free.

THINK ABOUT IT
1. Stand Firm in Faith: Like Paul in Acts 24:14, are you willing to be clear about what you believe even if people call it strange or unpopular? What makes it hard to stand strong in your faith sometimes?
2. Let Truth Lead You: Proverbs 11:9 warns about destructive words. Do you use your words to build others up or tear them down? How can you be intentional about speaking life this week?
3. Respond, Don’t React: Paul didn’t panic when accused; he calmly told the truth (Acts 24:10). How can you respond with calm confidence when someone misunderstands or misjudges you?

BOTTOM LINE
When lies and pressure rise, let God’s truth be your anchor and your voice of courage.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, thank You for showing me through Paul’s example that truth always wins. Help me stand firm in my faith, use my words to build others up, and stay calm when people misunderstand or accuse me. Let my life reflect Your truth in everything I say and do. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
