“The wise of heart will receive commandments, but a babbling fool will come to ruin.” — Proverbs 10:8
“He who walks blamelessly and does what is right and speaks truth in his heart... shall never be moved.” — Psalm 15:2,5
“And they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit…” — Acts 6:5

Have you ever been in a group chat where everyone’s talking, but no one’s really listening? In our loud world—online and offline—it’s easy to feel like we have to speak up constantly just to be noticed. But the Bible reminds us that real wisdom often comes from quiet strength, faithful action, and listening first.
In Proverbs 10:8, we see the contrast between someone who listens and obeys versus someone who just runs their mouth and ends up in trouble. Psalm 15 shows us what it looks like to live with integrity, and Acts 6 introduces us to Stephen—a young man whose quiet, Spirit-filled life spoke louder than any argument.

THINK ABOUT IT
1. Listen First: Are you quick to talk or quick to listen? Proverbs 10:8 reminds us that wise people are teachable. When someone gives you advice or correction, do you push back—or do you take it to heart?
2. Character Over Clout: Psalm 15 paints a picture of someone who lives with integrity even when no one’s watching. What does your private life say about your character?
3. Full of Faith: Stephen wasn’t famous, but he was faithful. Acts 6 tells us he was chosen because of his faith and the Spirit in him. Are you letting God shape your inside world, even if others don’t notice right away?

BOTTOM LINE
Being wise doesn't mean being the loudest voice—it means being the one who listens, lives with integrity, and lets God’s Spirit lead. In a world full of noise, let your life speak through quiet strength and faithful choices.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, help me to be someone who listens more than I speak. Teach me to walk in wisdom and integrity, even when it’s not popular. Fill me with Your Spirit like You did with Stephen, so that I can live boldly and humbly for You. Let my life reflect Your truth, not just in what I say but in what I do. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
