“Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out.” — Proverbs 10:9 (ESV)

“But he, full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God.” — Acts 7:55 (ESV)

Have you ever felt pressure to just go along with the crowd, even when you know it’s wrong? It’s easy to laugh at the joke that’s mean, to cheat on an assignment because “everyone else is doing it,” or to hide what you believe because you don’t want to stand out. But Proverbs 10:9 reminds us that living with integrity—choosing honesty and faithfulness—leads to real security, while crooked paths eventually catch up to us. Stephen in Acts 7 shows us what it looks like to stand strong. Even when people opposed him, he stayed full of the Spirit, fixed his eyes on Jesus, and never wavered. His story challenges us to choose courage over compromise, knowing Jesus is watching and standing with us.

THINK ABOUT IT

1. Integrity Matters: In what areas of your life are you tempted to “cut corners”? How does walking with integrity bring peace and confidence?

2. Eyes on Jesus: When life gets tough or people misunderstand your faith, what would it look like for you to fix your eyes on Jesus like Stephen did?

3. Courage Over Comfort: What’s one step you can take this week to boldly live out your faith, even if it feels uncomfortable?

BOTTOM LINE

Walking in integrity and keeping your eyes on Jesus gives you strength to stand strong, no matter what.

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, thank You for showing me that integrity and courage matter. Help me to walk in honesty and faithfulness, even when it’s hard. Fill me with Your Spirit like Stephen, so that I can keep my eyes on Jesus and stand strong in my faith. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
