“Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out. Whoever winks the eye causes trouble, and a babbling fool will come to ruin.” — Proverbs 10:9–10
“And as they were stoning Stephen, he called out, ‘Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.’ And falling to his knees he cried out with a loud voice, ‘Lord, do not hold this sin against them.’” — Acts 7:59–60

Have you ever tried to cut corners—maybe cheated just a little on a test or kept quiet when you saw something wrong—thinking it wouldn’t matter much? It’s tempting to take the easy way out, but the Bible reminds us that real strength comes from walking in truth, even when it costs us something. In Proverbs 10:9–10, we’re told that people with integrity can walk securely, while those who try to hide or fake it will eventually be exposed.
Then we see a powerful example of this in Acts 7, where Stephen stands boldly for his faith, even though it leads to his death. He doesn’t lie, twist the truth, or back down. He walks with integrity, and even in his final breath, he chooses to forgive. That’s powerful—and it challenges us to think about how we’re walking today.

THINK ABOUT IT
1. What does integrity look like? Integrity isn’t about being perfect—it’s about being real. Are you honest in your words and actions, even when no one’s watching?
2. Stephen’s courage: Stephen stood firm in his faith even when it was dangerous. Would you be willing to speak the truth about what you believe, even if it costs you popularity or comfort?
3. Ripple effect: People notice how you live. Are your actions pointing others toward Jesus, or away from Him?

BOTTOM LINE
Walking with integrity might not always be easy, but it brings security, peace, and a witness that can change lives—just like Stephen’s.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, thank You for the example of integrity and courage in Your Word. Help me to walk in truth and stand firm in my faith, even when it’s hard. Give me the strength to do what’s right and the heart to forgive others like Stephen did. Let my life reflect Your light in every situation. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
