It’s not always easy to stand out. Whether it’s in class, in your group chats, or even on social media, it can feel risky to speak up about your faith. What if people think you’re weird? What if they unfollow, mock, or misunderstand you? Jesus gets it. In Matthew 10, He didn’t sugarcoat anything. He warned His followers that following Him would feel like being sheep among wolves—vulnerable, outnumbered, and even disliked. But He also told them to be wise and innocent, walking in truth and love.
And here’s the twist: being bold for Jesus doesn’t mean being loud or aggressive—it means being faithful even when it’s unpopular. When the pressure is high, God honors the humble—those who depend on Him more than their reputation. Proverbs 3:34 reminds us that God gives favor to the humble, not the proud who mock or belittle others.
Jesus is clear: following Him comes with challenges, but it also comes with His presence, His strength, and the promise that those who endure will be saved.

THINK ABOUT IT
1. Bold, Not Reckless: How can you be “wise as a serpent and innocent as a dove” in today’s world? Boldness isn’t about arguing—it’s about living with conviction and kindness.
2. God’s Favor Over People’s Likes: Are you seeking God's approval or people’s applause? God lifts up the humble. Choose to live for an audience of One.
3. Faith That Sticks: Jesus said endurance is part of the journey. What helps you stay grounded in your faith when it feels lonely or hard?

BOTTOM LINE
Being bold for Jesus may feel risky, but He sees you, strengthens you, and stays with you.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, help me not to shrink back when it’s hard to follow You. Give me courage to live out my faith with wisdom and love, even when it feels risky or unpopular. Teach me to choose humility over pride and Your approval over popularity. Help me to endure and stay true to You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
