“To give prudence to the simple, knowledge and discretion to the youth…” — Proverbs 1:4
“He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither.” — Psalm 1:3

Have you ever seen a tree get up and walk away during a storm? Sounds ridiculous, right? But that’s kind of what we do when we abandon God’s wisdom during hard times. Life throws storms—peer pressure, insecurity, temptation, stress—and if we aren’t rooted, we get swept away. The Bible says in Psalm 1:3 that the person who stays rooted in God’s Word is like a tree planted by water—steady, fruitful, and unshaken. And Proverbs 1:4 reminds us that God’s wisdom isn’t just for adults—it’s meant to give you, as a young person, real insight and direction. God's Word doesn’t just help you survive the storm—it helps you thrive in it.

THINK ABOUT IT
1. Wisdom Is for You: God wants you to have wisdom, not just pastors or parents. Are you seeking God’s Word as your personal guide?
2. Storm-Proof Living: Trees don’t grow overnight. What daily habits can help you become strong in faith over time?
3. Seasonal Growth: Psalm 1 says you’ll bear fruit “in season.” Are you trusting God even in seasons where you don’t feel like you’re growing?

BOTTOM LINE
When your life is planted in God’s wisdom, you won’t be shaken by the storms—you’ll grow through them.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, thank You for wanting to give me wisdom and strength, even in my youth. Help me to stay planted in Your Word, to grow even when it’s hard, and to become someone who thrives through every season. Make me steady like a tree by Your living water. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
