“Take my instruction instead of silver, and knowledge rather than choice gold, for wisdom is better than jewels, and all that you may desire cannot compare with her.” — Proverbs 8:10–11
“The fear of the LORD is hatred of evil. Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate.” — Proverbs 8:13
“The greatest among you shall be your servant. Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.” — Matthew 23:11–12

Have you ever noticed how easy it is to chase what’s shiny—likes, followers, status, or even just trying to look smarter or cooler than everyone else? That’s the trap the Pharisees fell into in Matthew 23. They cared more about their image than their hearts. But wisdom, as Proverbs 8 says, is worth way more than the “gold” the world flexes. Real wisdom means listening to God, rejecting pride, and walking in humility. When you live by God’s wisdom, you’re not just chasing hype—you’re building a life that lasts.

THINK ABOUT IT
1. True Value: Do you crave things like popularity, money, or recognition more than God’s wisdom? How can you remind yourself that wisdom is worth more than gold?
2. Check Your Heart: Wisdom means hating pride and arrogance. What’s one area where you need God’s help to replace pride with humility?
3. Upside-Down Greatness: Jesus said the greatest are the servants. What’s one way you can serve someone this week—even if nobody notices?

BOTTOM LINE
The real flex is choosing God’s wisdom over the world’s hype, because only wisdom lasts forever.
