Have you ever planted something and watched it grow? A tiny seed becomes something real—roots, leaves, even fruit. But without the right soil and care, it never reaches its potential. Our hearts are kind of like that. When we’re rooted in God’s Word and truth, we start to grow in strength, peace, and purpose. Proverbs reminds us that keeping God's commandments brings real-life benefits—peace and long life. And in Matthew 1, we meet Joseph, who chose to trust God's plan for his life even when it didn’t make sense. He shows us what it looks like to be rooted in obedience, even when it's hard.

THINK ABOUT IT
1. What Are You Rooted In? Everyone is planted somewhere. Is your heart rooted in God’s Word, or in people’s opinions, trends, or fears?
2. Faith in the Unexpected: Joseph didn’t expect his life to take the turn it did, but he obeyed God anyway. Can you trust God even when the path doesn’t look like your plan?
3. Living a Peace-Filled Life: Proverbs says peace comes from remembering God’s commands. What’s one way you can build more of His Word into your daily routine?

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, thank You for being a God I can trust, even when life doesn’t go as I planned. Help me stay rooted in Your Word and follow Your ways with a willing heart. Like Joseph, give me courage to obey even when it’s hard, and teach me how to grow in Your peace. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
