Those who forsake the law praise the wicked, but those who keep the law strive against them. Evil men do not understand justice, but those who seek the Lord understand it completely. — Proverbs 28:4–5

Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you. — Deuteronomy 31:6

For the Lord will vindicate his people and have compassion on his servants, when he sees that their power is gone and there is none remaining, bond or free. — Deuteronomy 32:36

Let’s be real—standing up for what’s right isn’t always easy. Sometimes it feels like everyone else is going the opposite direction, and following Jesus makes you stick out. Whether it's choosing not to gossip, walking away from drama, or saying no to something you know isn’t right, it can feel lonely.

But in Deuteronomy 31, God reminds us that He never leaves us—He walks with us through the tough stuff. And Proverbs 28 makes it clear: when you follow God, you’ll see things differently. You’ll understand truth and justice in a way the world can’t. That kind of wisdom doesn’t come from just knowing the rules—it comes from knowing God.

THINK ABOUT IT

1. Courage Over Comfort: Are you willing to stand firm for God even when it’s uncomfortable or unpopular? Remember, God is with you, and He never expects you to do it alone.

2. Truth Gives You Vision: Proverbs says those who seek the Lord understand justice. How can seeking God through prayer, His Word, and community help you see right from wrong more clearly?

3. God Has Your Back: When you feel weak or alone, remember Deuteronomy 32:36—God sees you, He cares, and He steps in when you need Him. Do you trust Him to fight for you?

BOTTOM LINE

God calls you to stand for truth, even when it’s hard—but you’re never standing alone. He gives you the courage, the wisdom, and the strength to walk His way, and He promises He’s not going anywhere.

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, Thank You for always being with me, even when things get tough. Give me courage to stand for what’s right and help me see things the way You do. When I feel alone or misunderstood, remind me that You’ve got my back and You’re never leaving me. Help me trust You more every day. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
