“Blessed is the one who fears the Lord always, but whoever hardens his heart will fall into calamity.” — Proverbs 28:14

“Come, bless the Lord, all you servants of the Lord, who stand by night in the house of the Lord!” — Psalm 134:1

“Then Joshua said to Achan, ‘My son, give glory to the Lord God of Israel and give praise to him. And tell me now what you have done; do not hide it from me.’” — Joshua 7:19

Have you ever kept something hidden, hoping no one would find out? Maybe it was something small that felt harmless at the time. But like in Joshua 7, even one wrong choice can affect more than just you. Achan thought he could get away with disobedience, but his hidden sin led to defeat and heartbreak. When he finally confessed, healing could begin.

Proverbs 28:14 reminds us that a heart that stays sensitive to God is blessed—but when we grow cold or stubborn, things fall apart. And Psalm 134 encourages us to keep worshiping God, even in the late hours or hard seasons. God wants our hearts—honest, humble, and awake to His presence.

THINK ABOUT IT

1. Hidden things matter: What we keep in the dark can grow stronger and cause more harm. Is there anything in your life you need to bring into the light and give to God?

2. A soft heart is a strong heart: Fearing God doesn’t mean being scared—it means caring deeply about what He says and being quick to listen and change when needed.

3. Worship in the dark: Even when things feel tough or quiet, like the night shift mentioned in Psalm 134, we’re called to worship. Praise shifts our focus back to God.

BOTTOM LINE

God blesses those who stay honest, humble, and open to Him. Don’t hide your struggles—bring them to God, and choose worship no matter the hour.

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, Thank You for seeing me completely and loving me anyway. Help me to keep my heart soft and my life honest before You. I don’t want to hide—I want to live in Your light and walk in Your truth. Teach me to worship You even when things are hard. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
