“The north wind brings forth rain, and a backbiting tongue, angry looks. It is better to live in a corner of the housetop than in a house shared with a quarrelsome wife.” — Proverbs 25:23–24
“The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?... This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” — Psalm 118:6, 24
“Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. If anyone serves me, he must follow me...” — John 12:25–26

Drama. You know it when you see it—and sometimes, it’s hard to avoid. Whether it’s in your friend group, at school, or even at home, conflict can pop up fast. Proverbs warns us that it’s better to live on the roof than in a house full of tension (Proverbs 25:24). Yikes! But here’s the thing—God doesn’t want us stuck in cycles of drama and negativity. Psalm 118 reminds us that even in the middle of stress or fear, God is with us. He’s on our side.
And in John 12, Jesus calls us to a higher way of living: not chasing popularity or always being “right,” but following Him and living for something bigger than the moment.

THINK ABOUT IT
1. Drama Detour: Are there areas in your life where conflict is stealing your peace? What would it look like to step back and let God guide your response?
2. God’s Got You: Psalm 118 says God is on your side. Do you truly believe that? How can that confidence change the way you handle tough situations?
3. Follow the Leader: Jesus says to follow Him, even when it means letting go of what the world values. What’s one thing you might need to surrender to follow Jesus more closely?

BOTTOM LINE
True peace doesn’t come from winning arguments or avoiding problems—it comes from trusting God, choosing kindness, and following Jesus through it all.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, Help me to choose peace over drama and trust You when things get tough. Teach me to follow Jesus, even when it’s hard or unpopular. Remind me that You are with me and that I can let go of fear. Make me someone who brings calm, not chaos, into the world around me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
