Ever had that moment when someone you care about—like a parent, mentor, or coach—sees you make a wise choice and beams with pride? That’s what’s happening in Proverbs 23:15–16. A parent is saying, “When you make good choices and speak the truth, it brings me deep joy.” And God feels the same way about us.
In Leviticus 23, God sets up rhythms—like feasts and special days—for His people to rest, celebrate, and remember Him. He wanted their lives to be filled with regular reminders of who He is and how much He cares. Then in Leviticus 24, there’s a reminder to keep the lamps burning in the tabernacle—a picture of staying close to God’s presence consistently.
So what’s the connection? When we live wisely, honor God, and walk in truth, it lights up His heart—and our own lives too.

THINK ABOUT IT
1. Wise Choices Shine Bright: What does it look like to live wisely in your world—at school, at home, online? Who sees your choices, and how might they be impacted?
2. God's Rhythm, Your Life: God gave His people regular times to stop and remember Him. What kind of "holy habits" do you have in your life that help you stay connected to God?
3. Keep the Light On: The lamps in the tabernacle had to stay lit. What’s one small thing you can do daily to keep your relationship with God burning bright?
