“Yet he saved them for his name's sake, that he might make known his mighty power.” — Psalm 106:8

“If you walk in my statutes and observe my commandments and do them...I will give peace in the land...I will turn to you and make you fruitful and multiply you and will confirm my covenant with you.” — Leviticus 26:3, 6, 9

Life offers us a buffet of choices—some are good for us, and others… not so much. Whether it’s junk food, binge-watching, or jumping into stuff we know isn’t right, it’s easy to lose direction. Proverbs 23 warns us not to let indulgence and laziness take over. Psalm 106 reminds us of how God’s people messed up repeatedly—but still, God showed up for them because of who He is.

And in Leviticus 26, God lays out a pretty clear “if-then” plan: if you follow Him, there’s peace and blessing; if not, life gets a lot harder. These chapters show us something huge—God gives us choices, but our direction determines our destination.

THINK ABOUT IT

1. Who’s Driving Your Life? Are you letting emotions, desires, or the crowd guide your choices? Proverbs encourages us to “direct your heart in the way.” That means living intentionally, not aimlessly.

2. God’s Patience is Powerful: Even when Israel rebelled, Psalm 106 says God saved them “for His name’s sake.” Have you seen God’s mercy in your own life—even when you didn’t deserve it?

3. Blessing Comes with Obedience: Leviticus 26 isn’t about earning God’s love—it’s about living in a way that aligns with His heart. Do you believe that following God brings real peace and joy?

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, thank You for giving me choices and for loving me even when I mess up. Help me to be wise with my decisions and to follow the path You’ve set for me. Teach me to seek Your peace and not just chase what feels good in the moment. Thank You for Your patience, grace, and promises. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
