If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small. — Proverbs 24:10
But you, O GOD my Lord, deal on my behalf for your name's sake; because your steadfast love is good, deliver me! — Psalm 109:21
And the Lord said to Moses, “Get away from the midst of this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment.” And they fell on their faces. — Numbers 16:45

Life throws curveballs. Maybe a friend betrayed you, school is overwhelming, or you're dealing with stuff at home no one knows about. In moments like these, it’s easy to feel like giving up. But Proverbs 24:10 reminds us that how we respond in tough times shows the real strength of our faith. Psalm 109 shows us what to do with that pain—cry out to God, not just for rescue, but because His love never fails. And Numbers 15–16 shows what happens when people rebel against God’s authority and try to take control on their own. Spoiler alert: it doesn’t end well.
God wants us to stand firm when life gets tough—not in our own power, but in His. Instead of running or rebelling, we fall on our faces before Him like Moses and Aaron did, trusting God to lead, even when we don’t understand.

THINK ABOUT IT
1. Check Your Strength: When life gets hard, do you give up or lean into God’s strength? How can you train your heart now to trust Him when life isn’t easy?
2. Turn Pain into Prayer: Psalm 109 teaches us that we don’t have to hide our hurt—we can bring it to God. What’s something tough you're facing right now that you need to pray about honestly?
3. Rebellion vs. Surrender: In Numbers 16, people tried to take control instead of following God’s leaders. Are there areas in your life where you're fighting God’s plan instead of trusting Him?

BOTTOM LINE
Hard times don’t mean God is absent—they’re opportunities to show real faith. Trust Him, even when it hurts. That’s where true strength is found.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, Thank You for being my strength when I feel weak and overwhelmed. Help me to trust You in the middle of the chaos, to bring my pain to You, and to surrender instead of rebel. Teach me to stand strong in You, especially when life gets hard. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
