You shall not pollute the land in which you live, for blood pollutes the land, and no atonement can be made for the land for the blood that is shed in it, except by the blood of the one who shed it. —Numbers 35:33

Have you ever had a moment when you knew the truth, but you were afraid to speak it? Maybe you didn’t want to hurt someone’s feelings, or maybe you were just scared of how people would react. But Proverbs 24:26 says that giving an honest answer is like a kiss—it may feel awkward or risky, but it’s actually a sign of love and respect. Honesty, especially when it’s hard, shows real courage.

Psalm 112 reminds us that when we trust God, we don’t have to fear bad news or outcomes. Even in tough conversations, we can have peace. And Numbers 35–36 shows how seriously God takes justice and fairness—truth matters deeply to Him. When we live truthfully, we reflect His character.

THINK ABOUT IT

1. Truth is Love: When you speak honestly, even if it’s uncomfortable, you're actually showing kindness. How can you be lovingly honest in your friendships and family relationships?

2. Trust Over Fear: Psalm 112 says the person who trusts God isn’t afraid of bad news. Are you letting fear stop you from doing what’s right? What would it look like to trust God more with the outcome?

3. Justice Matters to God: In Numbers 35–36, God set up systems for fairness and safety. How can you stand up for what’s right in your everyday life—at school, in your community, or online?

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, Help me to be someone who speaks the truth with love. Give me the courage to be honest, even when it’s hard, and the trust to believe You’re with me in every situation. Make me brave enough to stand for what’s right and kind enough to care how I do it. Let my life reflect Your justice and peace. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
