Description

Welcome to Season 11 of Every Day Tarot! This season, we’re exploring the fascinating connections between Tarot and plant allies.

In today’s episode, I’m inviting you to meet yarrow—a humble yet powerful plant known for its protective, clarifying, and deeply healing qualities. We’ll explore how yarrow helps us strengthen boundaries, sharpen focus, and gently tend to wounds—both physical and emotional.

What we explore in this episode:

💐 Meet the Plant Ally: Yarrow

Yarrow (Achillea millefolium) is a perennial herb known for its delicate, feathery leaves and clusters of small white or pale flowers. Traditionally found in meadows, disturbed soils, and even driveways, yarrow is as resilient as it is soft.

Historically, yarrow has been used to stop bleeding, heal wounds, soothe fevers, and support circulation. It holds a strong connection to warrior energy (think Achilles) and has been called “the plant of the wounded healer,” embodying the dance between protection and gentle care.

🔮 Yarrow & Tarot

Yarrow’s spirit invites us to cultivate healthy boundaries while staying open to transformation and growth.

Yarrow’s spirit resonates deeply with The Magician in the tarot.

The Magician embodies focus, willpower, and the ability to direct energy intentionally—all qualities echoed in yarrow’s gifts. Yarrow strengthens our sense of agency, helps us cut through confusion, and supports us in manifesting from a place of clear intention and aligned boundaries.

💭 Today's Tarot Pull:

From The Sasuraibito Tarot deck, I pulled King of Swords (reversed).

This card reminded us to be mindful of overly blunt words and hasty actions. Yarrow’s medicine suggests protecting not only your own energy but also being careful not to "cut" others unintentionally with harsh truths. Honor your insight, but wield it with compassion.
