Description

Welcome to season 6 of this podcast, where I am talking all about the Suit of Pentacles.

What we explore in this episode:

References for the decks:

In this episode, we talk about the balance-seeking energy of the Two of Pentacles. This is a card about managing competing priorities and staying grounded in motion. Whether you’re navigating work-life balance, juggling finances, or simply trying to stay afloat emotionally, this card invites you to shift with the tides rather than resist them.

We explore imagery across several decks, from aliens holding cacti to interwoven snakes and cosmic hearts. These images remind us that balance isn’t always perfect symmetry. Sometimes it's about playful presence, adaptability, and remembering that you can move through life’s fluctuations without losing your spark.

The Two of Pentacles also connects to the Magician and the Wheel of Fortune, hinting at the interplay between skill and chance. It asks: how do you respond when plans unravel? Can you keep laughing? Can you stay flexible without abandoning yourself?

If you haven't listened to my other seasons yet, go check them out!

In the first season, I introduced tarot basics.

In seasons 2 and 3, I went through the major arcana and the four suits, one per episode.

In season 4, I talked all about Tarot in Pop Culture and examined representations of Tarot in videogames, TV shows, movies, and more.

In season 5, I went through 13 Common Tarot Spreads, what they are, how many cards, and an example of what it looks like to work through one.

And in season 6 I talked all about the Suit of Wands.

Today's Tarot Pull:

Today’s card pull comes from The Citadel: A Fantasy Oracle and features The Priest, a figure of perseverance and faith. In the quiet warmth of the temple, the Priest reminds us that hope can be chosen, even in the midst of uncertainty. Just like the Two of Pentacles, this oracle encourages us to return to our center when the world gets noisy, and to trust that we are equipped to weather whatever waves come our way.
