Today, my guest is Adam Fowler. Adam is a father, husband,avid outdoorsman, and Stevens County Search and Rescue (SAR) team captain. Duringour conversation, we talked about the impact our 4th grade teacher hadon us by teaching us primitive life skills outside of the classroom setting. Wealso discussed Adam's role as the Search and Rescue team captain. Topicscovered include the importance of having a local SAR team, backcountry preparedness,the value of receiving training, the power in a strong community, and the vitalrole emergency management services play in keeping our rural communities safe.We also discuss a couple of the rescues Adam has been on and lessons learnedfrom many hours spent in the backcountry.
