Ryan Ao, interviews Nate Owens in this episode 13 of The Flip. Ryan met Nate during a music video production that Ryan was filming and Nate was break dancing and acting in. Nate talks about his flip story of having to overcome bullying and dealing with his questions about his sexuality, and moving to a small midwest town, all while joining the high school football team in order to bond with other guys and check his masculinity. Due to a bad tackle he not only fractured his leg but catalyzed the release of a fast growing cancer tumor in his leg bone. Even through surviving cancer, discovering his true identity, and finding his passion for acting and break dancing, he maintains a positive attitude to all around him. Topics include: LGBTQ and mixed race identity discovery, childhood cancer and healing through the St. Jude Children's hospital research institute, acting on the Netflix TV show "Trinkets", being an empath and a psychic, and maintaining a positive attitude through all challenges.
