[BRAD's PICK] With introductions out of the way, it's 'time' to get into our very first concept album! This week Brad, Dave, John Griffith, and special guest Leslie Aleman break down Electric Light Orchestra's iconic 1981 release "Time," which is one of the first major concept albums focused on time travel. This is ELO's second concept album (first being "El Dorado" in 1974), and with it, Jeff Lynne chose to really expand on the electric elements their sound, which really accentuates the fact that it is what author Adam Roberts calls a "future-set rock opera." It's got time-crossed lovers, Gynoids (or 'fembots' as they're popularly known), space travel, and an escape from a space colony to get home... or maybe... it's just a dream...

Join us in two weeks (12-2-19), when we are going to be unpacking a strikingly similar concept album, The Flaming Lips' "Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots." Go give it a listen so you know what we're talking about!
