In this shiur, we explore the origins and significance of the copper basin used in the Tabernacle, which was uniquely fashioned from the mirrors of women. According to the Midrash Tanchuma and Rashi, these mirrors were initially rejected by Moses because of their association with vanity, but God cherished them as they were used in Egypt to sustain the Jewish people by encouraging intimacy and the birth of new generations.
