Description

Our first Edgar Allen Poe story! "The Angel of the Odd" is a kind of horror, and its author's credentials give it some credibility in this area, but it's Final Destination by way of Wile E. Coyote. Either a drunken fool has a bad dream, or a drunken fool is haunted by a monster made up of equal parts alcohol and bad luck.

That said, this is a story about arguments following a lush November meal, so it earned its #Thanksgiving! I'm glad we get to see this side of Poe. He was dour sometimes, but he had a great, unappreciated sense of humor, and it's genuinely refreshing to read something he had fun writing.

Our intro music today is Vivek Abishek's "The Door." To celebrate Poe's arrival on the scene, we exited with the same composer's "The Raven's Lullaby." As always, visit him at https://www.youtube.com/c/VIVEKABHISHEK
