Welcome to Lights, Camera, Remake, where we try to answer the question “ has Hollywood has truly run out of ideas?”
We’re looking at the movies that started a franchise that has claimed $2 billion in the worldwide box office. All from an independent film on a small budget. Well, small ish. And if Harlan Ellison had anything to say about it, there might not have been a ton of sequels and a giant franchise attached to this tech noir film.
Terminator (1984)
Arnold Schwarzenegger is unforgettable as an unstoppable cyborg who is sent back in time to kill a young woman in this sci-fi classic.
Terminator (1991)
A cyborg, identical to the one who failed to kill Sarah Connor, must now protect her ten year old son John from an even more advanced and powerful cyborg.
