Episode 28: There was no point in spinning the globe. There’s nothing good happening out there so for this episode, we focused on business, arts, and sports. The Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) press release had some real zingers. It’s fun to analyze writing.

Velocity Dance Center is really moving! Pun fully intended. The Seattle Festival of Dance + Improvisation is in full flow (SFD+I, rhymes with body). Check out the showcases if you can: https://velocitydancecenter.org/events/performance-cohort-showcase-2025/

This video for my song of the summer is a trip. It’s worth a look and a listen. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vMm8naokMSY&list=RDvMm8naokMSY&start_radio=1

Feel like running? I loved the Saturnalia run last year, where we got to jog through Squaxin Park. I’m doing my second trail run on August 30th. That’s just a few days after I get back from the bike ride from Seattle to Vancouver. Let’s see if my body can hold up. This one features an awesome squirrel shirt, though I’m continuing my t-shirt purchase moratorium.  https://www.webscorer.com/register?raceid=345455&fbclid=iwy2xjawjvkrblehrua2flbqixmqabhnu1_2k5qhvi7ofi0llhzcbjwoosjerpghdng-sxex-lohg5i_ho4pjeorj__aem_qmd87laz0fgiew5d0ceq6q

I’m trying the Rave Green Run for the first time on September 7th. https://www.sfcravegreenrun.org/race-info.

The next High Five Thursday will be on a Friday next week, August 8th. Turnout was extra high the last time it was on a Friday so we’re expecting a big group and lots of fun and fast chess. https://linktr.ee/OlyBlunders
