Description

Acts 22 recounts Paul's defence in Jerusalem, where he explains his conversion experience. He details his initial persecution of Christians, followed by a blinding light and voice on the road to Damascus, where Jesus of Nazareth revealed himself. Paul describes regaining his sight through Ananias, being chosen by God to witness to the Gentiles, and his eventual return to Jerusalem where he was instructed to leave due to the people's rejection of his testimony. The passage concludes with Paul being apprehended and nearly flogged, only to reveal he is a Roman citizen, which alarms the commander. The text then transitions to the commander's decision to bring Paul before the Sanhedrin to understand the charges against him.
