Description

Acts 13 of the New International Version (NIV) Bible recounts the early missionary journeys of Barnabas and Saul (later called Paul). Commissioned by the Holy Spirit in Antioch, they first travelled to Cyprus, where Paul confronted a sorcerer and the proconsul believed. Subsequently, they journeyed to Pisidian Antioch, where Paul preached in the synagogue, initially finding favour before facing opposition from Jewish leaders. Ultimately, their message found greater acceptance among the Gentiles, leading to further travel and the spread of their teachings, despite facing persecution.
