Acts 27 of the New International Version of the Bible recounts the perilous voyage of Paul and other prisoners sailing towards Rome under the charge of a centurion named Julius. They encounter severe storms and lose control of the ship, leading to Paul's reassurance based on a divine message that no lives will be lost, only the ship. After fourteen days adrift and a period without food, they eventually run aground on an unknown shore. Despite initial plans to harm the prisoners, the centurion ensures everyone safely reaches land.
