Many Christians struggle with feeling righteous while still sinning, but this reveals a misunderstanding about true righteousness. There are two types of righteousness: one based on our works and efforts, and another that comes as a gift through faith in Christ. The Old Testament required perfect obedience to all commandments for blessing, which is impossible for humans to achieve. However, Christ became a curse for us so we could receive blessing. God looks at our hearts, not our outward performance, and through Jesus' sacrifice, our sins are forgotten and we are made righteous in God's sight.
