This condemnation serves as a guardrail, alerting us when we're not following God's leading. Walking after the Spirit means pursuing relationship with God rather than trying to earn righteousness through works. Our identity should be rooted in what Christ has done, not our past failures. True freedom comes from focusing on our position as God's children and serving from love rather than duty.
