Christians face a daily choice between two types of righteousness: the righteousness of Christ and self-effort righteousness. When we accept Jesus, we are made righteous through His finished work, not through our actions or performance. Our spiritual blessings are stored in Christ Jesus, and we access them through relationship with the Holy Spirit. Many believers live in bondage because their minds haven't been renewed by God's Word, causing them to rely on human effort rather than their position in Christ. The key to walking in freedom is spending time in God's Word and allowing the Holy Spirit to renew our minds with the truth of who we are in Christ.
