Randy Myers is a Canadian professional wrestler who has had an impressive career in the wrestling world. They started their training at Mat Rats in Calgary when they were just 17 years old, and since then, they have worked for many international promotions, including DEFY, Stampede Wrestling, and many more. Randy’s unique style and talent have also brought them to the US, where they have enjoyed a couple of trips down to Hoodslam in Oakland.
In this episode, Randy and Rusty talk about their journey in the wrestling world, including their work on the reality TV show, World of Hurt, in Canada with the legendary Rowdy Roddy Piper. They also discuss how Randy got their start in Portland Wrestling Uncut and their favorite match of all time - the musical chairs match!
Aside from their wrestling career, Randy also made a movie called The Weirdo Hero, which tackled the subject of mental health. The movie gave viewers a raw and real look at the struggles that many people face with their mental health, and it is a testament to Randy’s willingness to use their platform to shed light on important issues.
Randy also talks about their own wrestling promotion, Boom! Pro Wrestling, which is based in Vancouver, BC. Boom Wrestling is different from other promotions because it offers a fresh perspective on the sport through the eyes of Ravenous Randy. It brings a whole new set of eyes into wrestling, and it is a great way for fans to see the sport in a different light.
