Those who follow Christ are his family.
I. Jesus heals on Sabbath v.1-6

- angry grieved at hardness of heart

II. Great crowds follow Jesus v.7-12
- withdraw into a boat
- Jesus charges demons to be silent
III. Appoints 12 Apostles v.13-21
- "Apostle" - "Sent out one" - Ambassadors
- 1. That they might be with him
- 2. To Preach
- Have authority to cast out demons
- v.21 - Jesus family seeks Jesus - out of his mind
IV. Jesus accused of being demon-possessed v.22-30
- listen to Mt. 12 - "Satan must be bound before his sphere of influence can be challenged." ESV Study Bible.
- to attribute Christ's supernatural ministry to demons
V. Jesus' mother and brothers
- who ever does the will of God

Truth - Sin and Unbelief grieve the heart of God.
Christ's true family - are his disciples. To follow Christ is to join the household of God.
Application
- Follow Christ, be with Christ, then you will be sent out.
