It's the end of the world again as Dave takes 1998's Deep impact off the shelf. Phil admits to never seeing it despite it being described as the "smart" Armageddon. To his surprise, he thought the movie offered something different and somewhat unique. As Phil sees it, Tea Leoni is the weakest link however Dave really connected to her family story and found her performance compelling. The movie tries to serve all characters well and ends up sagging a little under the weight but the story is delivered well by Mimi Leder and her cast.
