Description

In this concluding episode of our Advent series and Season 4 of Southern Soul Chats, we reflect on the unwavering love of God revealed through His faithfulness. Focusing on Luke 1:54-55, we explore how Mary’s song celebrates God’s covenantal love—a promise fulfilled through Jesus Christ.

This week, we light the Angels’ Candle, representing love and the proclamation of Christ’s birth. The angelic message reminds us of the depth of God’s love and His faithfulness to His promises, from generation to generation.

As we close out this season, we invite you to carry the themes of hope, peace, joy, and love into your Christmas celebrations and beyond.

Season 5 kicks off in Late January 2025 with our exciting new series, Driven to Distraction, exploring how to refocus our lives on what truly matters. We’re thrilled to share that we’ll be moving to Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and YouTube as our streaming channels!

On behalf of all of us at Stepping Forward Ministries, we wish you a Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and may God’s love and faithfulness surround you in every season of life.

See you in 2025!

Mary's Song of Praise: The Magnificat (ESV) Luke 1:46-55

46 And Mary said,

“My soul magnifies the Lord,
47     and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
48 for he has looked on the humble estate of his servant.
    For behold, from now on all generations will call me blessed;
49 for he who is mighty has done great things for me,
    and holy is his name.
50 And his mercy is for those who fear him
    from generation to generation.
51 He has shown strength with his arm;
    he has scattered the proud in the thoughts of their hearts;
52 he has brought down the mighty from their thrones
    and exalted those of humble estate;
53 he has filled the hungry with good things,
    and the rich he has sent away empty.
54 He has helped his servant Israel,
    in remembrance of his mercy,
55 as he spoke to our fathers,
    to Abraham and to his offspring forever.”
