Description

You could ruminate over your failures.

Feel discouraged by your weaknesses.

Let your shortcomings get you down.

Spend all day focusing on what you can't do.

You’ll get nowhere without doing something about it.

Focus on what you can do.

That might mean working on your shortcomings.

It might mean capitalizing on your strengths.

Perhaps both.

Regardless, it calls for a shift of perspective.

Recognizing nobody will live your life for you.

That it’s on you to go after what you want.

To work on your eating habits.

To start hitting the gym.

To go to bed earlier.

To take the class, apply for the job, or whatever else it is that you want.

You might have disadvantages.

Others might have advantages.

All you can ever do is do what you can.

Identify what you want.

Make a plan to get there.

Take one step at a time.

Assess your progress.

Adjust your plan as you go.

Have patience when it takes time.

Have self-compassion when you fail.

Keep showing up.

You’ve got this.
