Description

Getting started is tough.

Keeping going is even more of a challenge.

When we’re feeling motivated and inspired, we can take the first step.

We can build up the confidence and will to go after what we want.

We can get the gym membership.

We can buy the groceries.

We can enroll in the class.

But when the motivation and inspiration fade, so, too, do our efforts.

We fall back into our old routine.

Slip back into old habits.

Without repeatedly doing the work, we won’t continue to move toward our goals.

We’ve got to keep going.

Even when we don’t feel like it.

Even when we’re feeling uninspired.

Even when we’d rather just “not”.

The work must be done.

That first step is great.

It might make you feel accomplished.

You might get some satisfaction from taking it.

It won’t take you all the way there.

You won't be competent after one class.

You won't be perfectly healthy after one meal.

You won't be strong and capable after one workout.

One is never enough.

Progress takes steady, consistent effort.

Often, even after you've reached your goal.

Keep showing up.

It might not be fun.

It might not be easy.

It might not be exciting.

It will be worth it.

You are worth it.

You are worthy.
