The most important revelation from my interview is understanding that it is the liberal left world that left him. He is still the same liberal guy he used to be, just today connected to his Jewish identity in a way that he wasn't connected to when he was a hippie. Other than that, he expresses quite clearly that it is the left that left the liberal values he still holds dear today as a right-wing settler.
